In this difficult time for Ukraine and all over the world, when companies and institutions, cities and countries and entire continents close from external contacts, the International Humanitarian University heads think about the future and are actively planning international activities to improve education and science. So, at March 18, 2020, the Rector of the IHU has signed an agreement on cooperation with the Varna University of Management (VUM, Bulgaria). This Bulgarian university is the top in its country on international orientation. Moreover, it has a high development rate due to the expansion of international cooperation like the IHU.
IHU's new partner trains bachelors and masters in IT engineering, business administration, international business management, tourism and hospitality management, as well as gastronomic and culinary arts. It enrolls students from 50 countries from around the world and, thanking to signed agreement with the IHU, our students are now able to attend the VUM either in individual courses or dual degree and mobility programs.
Besides, the agreement also provides joint scientific and cultural events. The first of such the events will be the 6th International Conference "Prospects for Effective Management Decisions in Business and Projects", which will be held at September 17-18 at the IHU, and will include the discussing management problems and cultural programme.
According to the signed agreement, students and professors of the IHU will have the opportunities to participate in joint projects and training programs, to exchange experience and knowledge through the academic mobility. Its implementation will ensure the formation of close academic, scientific, and cultural contacts between the twin cities of Odesa and Varna, and will accelerate the restoration of the tourism industry after the coronavirus epidemic, thanking to the qualitative training of professionals in this field at the international level.
